Just because it’s a kids movie doesn’t mean there aren’t valuable lessons to be learned about life and love. Take the Disney princesses for example.
Snow White: Jealousy Can Be Dangerous – All of the troubles that befall the princess stem from the uncontrollable jealousy that the Queen feels. Oh, and be kind, and don’t take candy from strangers.
Cinderella: Never stop dreaming! No matter how hard Cinderella worked, she never stopped dreaming.
“She believed in dreams, all right, but she also believed in doing something about them. When Prince Charming didn’t come along, she went over to the palace and got him.” – Walt Disney
Aurora: True love exists, and always behave well
Belle: Patience is a virtue. Don’t let his flaws override his good qualities.
Ariel: Actions speak louder than words. And every woman must find her own voice.
Jasmine: Never change yourself just because of others.
Pocahontas: Listen to your gut. It’s probably for the best.
Mulan: Don’t underestimate yourself. Women can be just as influential as men. Mulan’s story is the epitome of “girl power.”
Tiana: If you want something, work for it. Don’t rely on others to reach your goals.
Rapunzel: Stand up for yourself. You should never be a victim.
